The History of Udicide!
In 1992, Brian Fay recieved his first guitar as a birthday gift from his parents. He started playing lame-ass Metallica, Nirvina, and Sound Garden tunes before he realized that recording his own songs was much cooler. He continued to do this for many years untill he had made several demo's of tastefully, unique music on his Tascam 404 portastudio. It was at this time in the summer of 2001 that he recruted Drummer/Father Jim Fay (who had been playing many of these tunes for a few years), and Guitarist/almost brother-in-law Eric Widing to form a band. UDICIDE! The three played for most of the summer together, putting together almost a dozen tunes , and they started to play out. Playing giggs such as the moon struck cafe' and other misc. town fairs, udicide started to develope a local following. At the end of the summer, udicide started to play with some bass players to complete their unique sound. They played with bassists such as Andy Wallace, keyboard player for Rodger Watters, Ralph Rodgers, former bassists from NE Hostility, and many more untill they came across one man....
Chris Engelke! Yes, it was true. Chris was the front man from Pimp Daddy Jones, but there was no question that he was th missing peice to the Udicide puzzle! After almost know time at all, the new foursome had put together almost 20 songs and were playing out often! But something was still not right.
In July of 2002, udicide made a roster move that would change the history of music as we know it! They would bring in drummer Jay Harding, formerly of Black Rain, to be their new full time drummer. Adding much needed life to Udicide, Harding was a great addition. Although we actually managed to lose him for a few months, he was sucsessfully recovered and everything worked out fine.
And here we are today, Udicide is still changing in many ways, but yet, still staying the same. What will the next chapter bring.... UDICIDE?
